The beaches of Calpe, Alicante invite us to enjoy different types of sport. Whether it is windy or not, in summer or winter, day or night. This time it was the turn of the KITESURF lovers who gathered sportsmen from Denia, Javea, Altea, Benidorm, Alicante, etc. An ideal day, with wind and waves to enjoy this daring and exciting sport that attracted many spectators of all ages. A colourful and cheerful atmosphere that livened up Christmas Day.

We could also see many riders with HIDROFOIL boards, a new modality of KITESURF that is having a good acceptance.

The Hydrofoil is a removable keel that is placed at the bottom of the board. In the lower part of the foil a wide tail opens, which imitates the tail of a fish, and hence, its secret.

As there is a minimum contact of the board with the water, the friction and resistance of it decreases, allowing you to reach high speeds with a minimum effort, even if the wind does not blow in your favour.
This type of kiteboarding can be seen in various sports apart from kiting, such as surfing, sup or windsurfing
