The municipality of Teulada-Moraira formed by both populations, one inland located and the other in the coast, constitutes a tourist zone, where there are many urbanizations, as well as numerous agricultural areas, mainly dedicated to the vine cultivation, of the muscatel variety, that produces delicious raisins.
Teulada Gótica Amurallada, was declared as being a BIEN DE INTERÉS CULTURAL (Asset of Cutural Interest) with the status of Historical Complex, and presents important monuments from which its religious buildings stand out, such as its Renaissance church in honor of the patron Saint Catherine (XVI-XVII century), several hermitages, and its civil buildings, such as the room “Jurats i Justicies” (XVII century), the watchtower on the Cap d’Or and the defensive tower that dominates the beach of Ampolla known as “Castell de Moraira”.
It was a population mainly agricultural that also preserved a fishing culture.
Through green vineyards we reach the Port in Moraira, known for its important tourist activity concentrated mainly in its marina.
It presents an extensive coastline with beaches and small coves such as L’Andrago, Punta Estrella, Cap Blanc and La Cala.
The Cooperativa San Vicente Ferrer produces excellent wines with the Moscatel Romana grape, such as the award-winning “Mistela”, Càntic del Sol and the white wine “Viña Teulada”, dry with flowers aroma.
The fish market and fisher’s brotherhood has a building, which was renovated in 1990, where they can go from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m., to participate in its traditional public auction.
